Back in August, Grand Ole Opry member Alison Krauss took to the legendary stage to perform a song she had recorded around the same time she first joined the Opry. Just 21 years old when she became a member in July 1993, Krauss was the youngest artist ever to be inducted into the Opry at that time. She was also the venerable institution's first bluegrass artist to be made an official member in 29 years.

This exclusive video from the Grand Ole Opry is the singer's performance of the soul-stirring gospel standard, "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow." Penned by preacher and songwriter Ira Stanphill in the early 1950s, after a divorce from his wife, Zelma, who would also die in a car accident around that same time, the tune expresses all the uncertainties about the future and the assurance that one's faith gives them in their place. Krauss, the most awarded female artist in Grammy history, imbues the tender ballad with her delicate vocals, which she first recorded on an album of the same name, released in 1994 and shared with Louisiana-based bluegrass-gospel group, the Cox Family. In 1995, Alison Krauss and the Cox Family's I Know Who Holds Tomorrow earned a Grammy for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album.

In 2011, Krauss and her band, Union Station, released Paper Airplane and the group reportedly has a new project in the works. The singer toured with Willie Nelson and Kacey Musgraves throughout 2014.
