Mystic River ~ key & taylor ~
Since the fall of 2002, taylor and I have been giggin in the local restaurants...clubs...and the bar scene, all over North Central Florida. We specialize in the VERY BEST of the 60s & 70s and market ourselves as a Retro BOOMER Duo. I play a 5 String Electric Violin and Taylor plays Guitars as well as Keyboard. Playing along with the backing sequences, which we construct, we have a full band sound. We really have a lot of fun with this and are constantly challenging ourselves with songs like... I know you're out there Somewhere... Moody Blues, Suite Judy Blue Eyes.. CSN, Listen to the Music... Doobie Brothers, or Beginnings...Chicago, to name a few. Maybe we're crazy for trying such big songs as a duo, but people seem to like them, and this is our way of honoring the Great musicians who created these Timeless Classics.
As far as recording some of OUR OWN stuff, this is going to be a good year. With over a hundred songs to be produced we have our work cut out for us.Of course not all of them this year, but we have a goal of producing 2 CD's, 20 songs, in 2007. The two songs we've recorded, Found a World and Rollin, were produced for our demo, and we intend on reproducing these two songs this year too.
Through teaching Dance, being a DJ, playing in groups like FLOW & SST, Taylor has a long resume of experiences in the Music industry. After Taylor and I connected, inspiration started to Flow to produce Taylor's large library of Songs. It seems he was holding on to them for the right time. This is part of the romantic dance of OUR lives. I feel blessed that he is inspired to produce his songs with me.
