Artist Information
The Funeral March is a five piece, closely knit family from Tucson, AZ, that brings a whole new meaning to the word brutality. Their shredding guitar parts flow perfectly with their melodies and bring a whole new melodic sway to the hardcore world. The Funeral March is made up of Robby Burbidge, Liam McCarthy, Tim Steehler, Shane Sheffer, and Nick Johnson who have been playing music together for four years. Along the path to where they are now they have had to make sacrifices financially and emotionally to finance past recordings and merchandise production as well as their recent recording and release of their three song EP with renown Arizonan producer Larry Elyea. No wall has proven to overcome The Funeral March in their constant battle towards acquiring their goals and ambitions. The Funeral March booked their entire own month long, Southwest tour for the summer of 2006 and made the sacrifices necessary to pay for a van and a trailer. Over the last four years, The Funeral March has built themselves a wide fan base under the hot Sonoran sun playing with such bands as Seventh Star, Clear Convictions, Chiodos, XLooking ForwardX, No Innocent Victim, Inked in Blood, Bloody Sunday, Killwhitneydead, Fall Out Boy, Near Miss, The Epoxies, Salem, Poulain, Greeley Estates, Since By Man, Misery Signals, Yesterdays Rising, The Mean Reds, and being more than only an opening band for The Bled and Versus the Mirror, but being friends as well. They have also graced the stages of such great Tucson venues such as The Rialto, Skrappys, Club Congress, The Rock, and City Limits. They can not wait to expand their umbrella over much more of the Southwest with their love for being on the road and the satisfaction they get from touring. To become a well recognized and successful touring band is their ultimate goal and dream and eventually to bring their music to the rest of the United States and wherever else their journey may take them. Love, The Funeral March
