RECK Growing up in Allentown Pennsylvania, Reck was surrounded by music as both parents were music lovers. His father enjoyed Rap Music while his mother preferred R&B and Rock & Roll. His mother kept a turntable and a collection of old school records in their basement. It was there, at the age of 10, Reck fell in love with Hip Hop. Like a kid in the playground, he began playing with music and started scratching on his mother’s turntable. By the age of 12, Reck started rapping and free-styling. His father and his father’s friends would pay him to rap during parties and gatherings. At this young age, Reck was surrounded by a lot of street elements. Circumstances within his family life forced him to the streets. That’s were he eventually learned how to survive on his own and subsequently was forced to become a man at a young age. Holding tight to the streets, hustling was his only way of making money to feed himself. Expressing himself thru rhyming, Reck found a way to release his stress. He made rhymes about his life, how he was living and what he saw. In 1998, at the age of 16, Reck realized his rhyming was an art and decided to start taking it serious. Reck’s sister introduced him to Grubb, CEO of Funk Mob Recordings. Reck gave Grubb his demo and about a month later, they connected and have been making music together ever since. Reck is one of the 1st Artists to be down with Funk Mob and is one of the most respected rap artist in Allentown. His goal is too become one of the best in the business that’s guaranteed to bring reality to life in the game.
