While the guys cite many influences as individuals, they have stayed true to their original concept that heavy music should never be limited to one sound or style, it should break through common stereotypes and be as diverse as possible. They have secured a solid fanbase in the Pacific Northwest and have generated interest from a nationwide audience as well. They have obtained some success with terrestrial radio in the United States, as well as satellite broadcasting from XM radio. In early February, 2006, Proven made the cross country journey to record their debut self titled E.P. under the wisdom of Billy Graziadei (Biohazard, Suicide City), and his partner Mike Turner (Vulture) at Underground Sound Studios in South Amboy, New Jersey, and then had the opportunity to have it mastered by the one and only Alan Douches at West West Side Music. With no sign of slowing down, Proven has sold over 700 CDs since their ep was released in May, 2006 without any distribution or label assistance. Proven has had the honor of sharing the stage with Sworn Enemy, Scars of Tomorrow, On Broken Wings, Nights Like These, Full Blown Chaos and many others.
