Artist Information
Nathan Jonas Jordison was born on April 26, 1975 in Des Moines, Iowa at the Mercy hospital. Jordison went to Waukee High School in Waukee, Iowa. While in high school, Jordison played drums in the drumline as well as a jazz band. Jordison had worked at a Sinclair gas station in Fresno, Iowa and played in various extreme metal bands from around the Des Moines area, including Modifidious and Anal Blast. Slipknot released an album in 1996 named Mate.Kill.Feed.Repeat. Only 1000 copies were ever made and sold worldwide. It wasn't until their second album (which was their first record to be released by Roadrunner Records) that they began to garner significant attention, charting at a respectable #51 on the Billboard chart. Jordison, along with his band, played in several Ozzfest tours, headlining the tour in 2001. Another Slipknot album, "Iowa," was released in 2001. This saw Jordison's band reaching super-stardom, the album debuted in at #1 in the US Billboard charts and number #1 in both the United Kingdom and Canada's national charts. After touring relentlessly, Slipknot went on hiatus. During this time Jordison remixed "Fight Song" for Marilyn Manson and was also featured in Manson's "Tainted Love" video. In 2002, Jordison, with Wednesday 13 and Tripp Eisen, formed what would become his second most popular band, Murderdolls. Joey played with such metal bands as KoRn, Marilyn Manson, Gorgoroth, Metallica, American Headcharge, Justice, Satyricon and 3 Inches of blood. He performed "unmasked" (i.e. not in his Slipknot persona) with the Murderdolls and added guitar to the album "Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls". The glam metal/horror punk band became popular (in the United Kingdom and Japan in particular) before the group went on hiatus in order for Jordison to return to Slipknot. During this time the other members of the Murderdolls worked on their side projects. Meanwhile, his attachment to the Murderdolls seems to have been severed as Wednesday 13, almost having picked up where they left off in regards to Jordison and Eisen, are still functioning. Since returning to Slipknot, Jordison recorded a fourth album with the group, "Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)", released in 2004. The album climbed to #2 on the Billboard chart, and also reached #1 status in the United Kingdom. In the summer of 2004 at Download Festival, Lars Ulrich of headliners Metallica was unable to perform with the band. Jordison stepped up and filled in for Ulrich. Joey played most of the set with Metallica. In December of 2004 Joey filled in for drummer Frost of Norwegian black metal band Satyricon for the band's tour of the United States after Frost was unable to get into the country. He also drummed for Ministry on their tour for the Rio Grande Blood album. He also played with the band American Head Charge. On April 19, 2007, it was announced that Joey would be touring with KoRn for about 5 months while David Silveria was on hiatus from the band.[1] Joey has also now began producing albums, his first being Fire up the Blades by the band 3 Inches of Blood. Joey accompanied KoRn on drums at the 2007 Download Festival. This record-breaking performance was Jordison's fifth Download appearance since its inception in 2003, and marks him as the only artist to play the festival multiple times in four different high-profile bands. Past Download performances include Murderdolls (main stage 2003), Slipknot (main stage 2004 and 2005), a guest appearance with Metallica (main stage 2004) and with Korn (Dimebag Darrell stage 2007).

Family Values Tour
For a couple of tours and then he's going back and Slipknot's doing a record. But for this time, it's going to be fun." A statement released from Joey Jordison said, "I'm lucky to have had the opportunity to perform with bands that have influenced me as a musician over the years. When I first heard KoRn they blew me away and I've been a fan ever since. I'm looking forward to playing drums with these guys for the next five months!" The Family Values Tour will feature co-headliners KoRn and Evanescence along with Flyleaf, Atreyu, Hellyeah (members of Pantera and Mudvayne), Trivium, Neurosonic and Droid. Tickets for The Family Values Tour go on sale April 28th and the tour kicks off July 20th in Missouri and extends until September 2nd in California. KoRn are also in the final stages of recording their 8th studio album. The album, which is currently untitled as of press time is set for a July 24th release.

JoEy Tie The "KnoT" wiTh KoRn...
Korn has announced that Joey Jordison will be the bands guest drummer on their upcoming Family Values Tour this summer as well as European Festival shows which begin in June and July. Jordison, best known for being the explosive drummer for the ground breaking multi million album selling band from Iowa, Slipknot, takes over on the kit for the departed Terry Bozzio. Bozzio, took over for original drummer David Silveria who is currently on a 'hiatus' from the band. We caught up with Korn at the bands Family Values Tour Kickoff Party at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery to discuss Jordison, who is revered around the world for being one of the most skilled metal drummers touring today

Influences
Black Sabbath (When he was 6, hblack metal project Hell Pig with Necrophagia's frontman Killjoy (he also wanted to join Necrophagia when they looked for a drummer, but he was busy with Slipknot) - Joey says he's going to take up the craziest drumming in whole of black metal history. And there's also a project called Amiccus (with Lord Ahriman of Dark Funeral, but there's almost nothing known about it and they aren't active right now...)

Other Information
He\'s the shortest and most talkative member of the \'knot. + He is the main drummer and he has the acoustic set. + He created the term \'Maggot\' for a Slipknot fan (in fact this term stands for worms that lives in corpses, but it isn\'t meant as an offence!) + He had written a lot of Knot\'s lyrics. (Most famously the lyrics to Scissors, and the choruses to Surfacing & Spit It Out) + He also wrote most of the music - together with Paul. + While recording MFKR he scribbled a funny, childlike picture of a monster with big, long claws and crazy hair. He wrote Corn Wallace under it. Later Anders used it to sign his biographical writings he had done for the band. + He mixed the self-titled album. + He can also be seen on the cover of Mate Feed Kill Repeat - sitting naked in a metal cage, which was made by Shawn, Joey, Paul and Anders. + He created the Tribal-S logo + When Slipknot wanted to recruit Corey, went Joey, Mick and Shawn into Corey\'s porno sho inspired by Tommy Lee. + Joey\'s drum-riser was designed and half-made by Shawn (who\'s a welder) + In the song Dogfish Rising from MFKR he plays guitar and drums. + Slipknot dedicated the MFKR album to Joey, but to another Joey (Plumley) : he was the younger brother of Frank, a close friend of Paul. He accidentally shot himself in the face and died the year they recorded that CD. + At first couple of shows, Shawn and Anders were the only ones to wear anything at all. After taking count of their stage show, Joey suggested that they ALL should wear something. +Joey came up with the basic idea of keeping their identities hidden. (He said that nearly everyone agreed with him cuz most of the band were KISS fans, and KISS covered their faces too, but in make-up).
