Leatherbag is a singer/songwriter from Houston, Texas. Now living in Austin, he has had two releases with local record label, SuperPop Records. His main influences include Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Loudon Wainwright III, Smog, and Simon Joyner. First beginning as a demo project, Leatherbag had only one other member of the band, his producer/engineer/multi-instrumentalist, Seth Gibbs (Brother Machine) . Over time and two record releases in six months, Leatherbag has grown to a four piece band featuring guitar, banjo, drums, and bass. Leatherbag continues to be the sole songwriter of the project and has finished a new album with his band released on January 5th, 2007 on SuperPop Records.
