Lantinor was founded in 1992 in Barnaul, Russia. Since that period the staff of the band has changed three times having one unchangeable member - it's leader and the author of music and lyrics Alexander Kaminsky. The style of the band can be classified as British folk-rock with certain "fantasy elements", reflecting band's leader love for Tolkien and British fairy tales and legends. Since 1992 Lantinor has released several albums, with lyrics both in Russian and English. They are: "The Lantinor Chronicle. Epoch 1" (1996), "The Lores of the Forest" (2001), "The Symphony of the 9 Planets" (2004), "The Lantinor Chronicle. Epoch 2" (2004), "Comrade" (2005). Now the band is engaged in recording a brand new album called "The Book of Spells", where Lantinor's style has acquired a certain influence of art-rock of the 70s, woman vocal in some songs, ballads rooting to the old British legends, and energetic flute solos in Jethro Tull style.
