Artist Information
It all started on Goldmic a rap battle website where young emcees come to test their lyrical talent against some of the best in the online battle world. A young boy by the name of Azibo Bethel would take up the challenge and engage in fierce battle with other rap artistes. It did not take long for him to catch on to the forming of battle verses. Azibo had always been good with words. This eloquent youth continued to battle under the alias ‘Wicked Spitta.’ During the learning stage, ‘Wicked Spitta’ spent a lot of time listening to artists such as Eminem and Jadakiss. However, instead of just listening to their songs, he would pick out and study the punch lines multis and other complexities from each of the artist’s verses. Once he had a clear idea of the structure of a verse, he began to write his own songs. His early efforts at songwriting were lyrically weak, but after working at it persistently, he began to really get a feel for "putting bars together." It was not until 2006 that NarC, as Azibo now called himself, was noticed by a local producer "Teddy B." Teddy mentored the young emcee helping him reconstruct his "bars" in songs such as "Get Money" and "New Jack City." As NarC developed his craft, he turned his focus to such emcees as Rakim, BIG, and The A Team. Now The NarCicist is a force to be reckoned with destroying the competition( or his competitors) and drawing in A&R and Producers alike.
