This is How We Begin Taking Shape, The Untold Story of Post Bliss
It all started in kindergarten when singer, Anthony Cardone asked classmate Kevin if he could borrow his blue crayon. From there, the two became life-long friends, both passionate about making music. Anthony and guitarist, Kevin Autumn experimented with a number of bands and different music styles over the years with both Diluted Society and an acoustic project, Autumn Sweater. The two also toyed with Bland for a brief period, featuring current bassist Derek Ortiz, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Tom Chiodo (drums) was lending his talents to Orange County bands Wax Off and Call 14, just a few miles north. None of these previous endeavors proved to have both the ideal sound and situation that would be found through Post Bliss.
Post Bliss began taking shape and officially formed in August of 2005. The band's first concert at Pace University went off without a hitch a mere two weeks after the solidified lineup was in place. Only four days later, they performed their second show ever at New York City's legendary CBGB's. They continued to play notable NYC clubs, CB's Gallery, The Continental, Don Hill's and The Knitting Factory among others. They have also graced the stages of The Empress Ballroom in Danbury, CT, Poughkeepsie's Club Crannell, The Bloomfield Avenue Cafe and The Stone Pony, both in New Jersey. Post Bliss continues to win over each new audience who is privileged enough to see their amazing and unique live show; complete with Anthony's on stage acrobatics and Tom drenching his set as water splashes off his drums. Their live set is truly one beyond compare.
Post Bliss' music is difficult to categorize, their ethereal sound encompasses radio-friendly alternative fused with fresh melodic rock. Their 5 song EP, "A Cure With No Disease" was released Valentine's Day 2006 and exemplifies the best of what Post Bliss has to offer. They plan to return to the studio to record a full-length album scheduled to be released Fall 2006. Post Bliss was recently featured on East Village Radio's Guilty Pleasures where they debuted "The Fall" over the Internet airwaves. Post Bliss continues to play throughout the tri-state and surrounding areas with an east coast tour to follow. They will also be featured on the Kevin Says/Hot Topic stage at this year's Vans Warped Tour in Buffalo, New York. Post Bliss is excited to be a part of the tour's 12th year. What was once two kids coloring when they were five years old has transformed into Post Bliss, an immensely talented band with infinite possibilities on the horizon.
