WHO IS LB AKA CRAZY JESSY
"Blaze Ministries"
In a world that is greatly influenced by drugs, alcohol, and sex. The music industry takes full advantage of its influences. There had to be a way out. As when God sent Moses to deliver his people from Pharaoh, CRAZY JESSY has been both called and chosen to deliver Gods people out of a different kind of slavery and bondage, the 21st century kind.
Using his God given talent of preaching, teaching, singing and rapping, he does just that. Singing since the age of 9 and, preaching since 13. He is truly a breath of fresh air to both young people, and adult's alike. Who are worried about their family and friends being influenced by the state of the world today.
Using his own personal experiences and, life lessons. He is a living example of prayer changing things. Born Shama E. Newton in Anchorage, Alaska in 1981 his drama started early, with mental and verbal abuse by the hands of his dad. When he was 7 his mother took him and his family and, fled out of that situation. They began rebuilding their lives in Richmond, Ca. With his two older brothers, and two sisters it wasn't easy growing up struggling, but he knew at an early age that he had a calling on his life.
In and out of homeless shelters, struggling for money and food made it difficult for him to answer. It was hard for his mother raising 5 children as a single mom. But she did the best she could to keep them in church and out of trouble. He often found escape through singing with his brothers as the trio "The Gospel New J's". They later changed their name to O.T.N. (our turn now). Being the youngest member of the group and the youngest brother their manager gave him the nickname Little Baby. It was later changed to Crazy Jessy (and since everyone said that he had different personalities he decided L.B. is the rapper, Crazy Jessy is the crazy side and Shama is the preacher). As time went on and he got older the street's of Northern, Ca began to take there toll. Dabbling in and out of illegal recreational activities. It wasn't until his mom was hospitalized for the first of many times. That he realized he had to make some changes which meant he had to stop running, and answer God's call.
Around the age of 14 he began attending the youth group at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Vallejo, Ca. It started a process that would eventually change his life forever. He became one of the youth leaders. around the same time he also began to craft his passion for music and persue it. he began touring and ministering. He love's speaking to People and ministering to them. He eventually became one of the Associate Pastors at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship. He's still very much involved with the youth. In 2003 he Co-founded Blaze Youth Ministries a ministry that goes around the world ministering to teens & young adults through rapping, singing, preaching, teaching and even mini drama's. These days he has a passion to "Save the lost at any cost." And with Gods hand leading him, he promise's to be the Realest, Rawest, Transparent minister he can be. CRAZY JESSY'S coming and, "Defeat is not his Destiny".
